Sex education programs that only teach about not doing it have gotten a bad rap on Feminist Wednesday for reinforcing gender stereotypes, discouraging dialogue, and ignoring the reality that some teens will have sex even if they aren’t told about it. Moises Pacheco has been an abstinence only sex ed teacher for a number of years, and he came on the show to squash some of our ignorance about how open-minded an abstinence-only sex education can be.
